Our Special Edition Robin is made of
highly figured rare spalted birdseye maple.
Contrasting cherry on the legs and flyer
together with the polished brass components,
makes the wheel breathtaking.

Because of the density of this exotic wood,
this model of the Robin is a bit heavier than
our others, weighing a little over 12 pounds.

All of our Special Edition spinning wheels
are made of the finest New England Maple.
Because of the natural figure and patterns
in the wood used, we can not plane these
woods. We mill close to size, and sand to
final dimension. The process is slow,
however the end result is stunning.
These wheels are sanded to 600 grit until
they shine. Only then is the hand-rubbed
tung oil finish applied.
